Hydro Vac Excavation

The Hydro Vac excavation process is used to remove soil using pressurised water. An air vacuum is then used to transfer the debris to the tank on the back of the truck.

In potholing, installation of pipes and cables, or in any excavation job, hydro excavation moves the soil safely and accurately.

Are tree roots blocking your way of where you want to dig? The Hydro-Vac will help you and the environment by saving the main roots of your trees while getting the job done.

Do you have meters of trenching ahead of you? Our Hydro-Vac will make trenching a breeze without damaging infrastructure.

And if you need to empty tanks, ponds, pools or other bodies of liquid like the sludge at the mechanic shop, our 3028 litre tank will do the job.

Benefits of Hydroac Excavation

Hydro Vac excavation is a more accurate and non-destructive way of excavating.

It provides a precise job, so damages to the surrounding pipes and services are considerably lessened.

Safer

We can expose and work around objects and utilities which would be potentially damaged by mechanical digging.

More accurate

Our Hydrovac operators are close to the excavation area and are able to make the minor adjustments necessary to perform an accurate job without damaging valuable underground infrastructure.

Fewer repairs so less expense

The use of mechanical excavating equipment such as excavators, bobcats, augers, backhoes and trenchers can destroy expensive underground infrastructure.

Environmentally friendlier

Both water and excavated soil are directed into our vacuum tank. Risk of environmental contamination is also reduced as sludge is removed by vacuum and transferred to appropriate disposal areas.

Hydro Vac Excavation

Non-Destructive Digging

Excavating the ground without the potential hazards of utility damage or service interruption.

Cable and Service Locations

We uncover and expose underground utilities and pipelines for necessary maintenance work or replacement, otherwise known as ‘daylighting' or 'potholing'.

Trenching

Making circuitous or straight-line ditches using either conventional or hydro excavation techniques, often done to install underground utility lines, gas lines, sewer pipes, or foundation footings.

Sign, Fence or Shade Sail Post Holes

We at DS Hydro Vac excavate many holes for fences, signs and shade sail posts. It keeps the jobsite clean, saves time and is accurate.

De-Watering

A water-logged construction site can delay progress and increase costs depending on the amount of water & where it is being retained. We remove water from post holes, trenches & pits quickly and easily getting your project delivered on time.

Pit Clean-outs

We are able to clean out electrical, communication, or stormwater pits. Using suction to remove water, sludge and water borne debris is an environmentally friendly method for pit cleaning.

We look forward to helping you with your next project!
